After a Long Day
“Do you want to come with me?”
It was six o’clock in the morning and I was preparing to leave the house for a day of job hunting.
“No thanks. Look outside. It is raining. I’m staying in bed. “
When I returned in the afternoon Pomi was awaiting me with a smile.
“And?”
“Rome wasn’t built in a day, you know.”
My little crochet guy gave me a disapproving look.
“I didn’t know you were going to build Rome.”
“It’s just an expression”, I sank into the sofa.
“You look exhausted. Let me run you a bath.” Pomi said.
He disappeared and I heard him puttering around in the bathroom. Then there was a boom. I jumped up.
“What happened? Are you alright?”
“Nothing happened and of course I’m alright”, Pomi grinned. “I dropped the bath bomb into the water. And there it is.” He pointed into the tub.
“One pink relaxing bath for you. Enjoy! If you need me, I’m in the living room.”
I just love your little Pomi stories. Sorry maybe should use the word “little” in case someone is sensitive about that! The stories are so natural and just lovely. I’ve been hooked since I stumble upon your site.
Waking up to a new day and reading a comment like yours I can only say: “Thank you. You just made my/our day.” Pomi is still asleep, I will tell him later and I a am sure it will make him smile his big cotton smile :-).
Thank you!!!
He seems very helpful after a hard day of job hunting.
🙂 What would I do without my little crochet guy? 🙂
Lovely. Wish all bombs were pink and perfumed! That corner with the chair looks very pretty. 🙂
It would be a pretty world with pink, perfumed bombs. Unfortunately……
Pomi, you are a gentleman 🙂 and you love Heike very much !
Good luck for jobhunting, dear Heike *love*
Pomi certainly is a darling :-).
