Intruders?
In the middle of the night I wake up because I think I felt something moving.
I grab the flashlight I keep on my nightstand, switch it on and there is
Pomi!
Clambering up my pillow is my little crochet darling.
” What are you doing up in the middle of the night?’
” There was someone at the window. I am scared!” Pomi slips under my blanket.
” There! Do you hear that?”
I listen into the darkness but there is nothing.
” I am sure it was just the cats. They are probably hunting.”
” Do we have to expect a dead mouse at the door tomorrow morning?”
” Not a mouse, I suppose, but maybe a giant moth or a gecko.”
” Yuck! Nice flash light by the way. Can I have it?”
“What for?”
” To scare off intruders. Look!”
” Start working on your roar!”

are a wonderful idea and really enhance the story. 🙂
